Operating temperature -20 to +140 degrees Celsius. Silverhook Fifth Wheel grease is a tenacious grease designed for heavy duty applications where adhesion, shock loading, and good corrosion protection is needed. It has been proven ideal for use on fifth wheels on articulated lorries, but has also found use in other applications such as on bucket pins on heavy earth moving equipment, crane slews, and also as an assembly and running in compound. Due to the high lubricating solids content, Silverhook Fifth Wheel grease is not recommended for use on anti-friction bearings. It contains a high level of lubricating solids to keep working surfaces apart and substantially extend component life. It's also fully resistant to the wet, to extend the life of the lubricant and protect components from corrosion. Its adhesion improvers provide increased lasting protection. This can be applied by hand or by using a standard grease gun.

As with all greases used for the first time, check compatibility with the grease applied previously and if necessary, purge bearings prior to application. Likewise, as a general rule, take care not to over-lubricate and apply the quantity of grease recommended by the bearing manufacturer.
